1. Technology
Technology is rapidly improving and it has begun to proliferate every aspect of the average person’s daily life, including his education. Though technology can do some wonderful things, some teachers find it challenging to keep up with the latest advances and to utilize them effectively for educational purposes. Furthermore, many public school districts simply don’t have the funds to equip their classrooms with modern technology which leaves teachers to do their best with limited resources and unreliable equipment. As technology becomes more readily available, however, it is becoming one of the best ways to capture a student’s attention – if a school doesn’t have the funds or the knowledge to use technology for the benefit of its students, those students may fall behind.

We are huge fans of the McLean School Community. The staff and students are very tolerant, friendly and respectful. Our son came from a public school in VA and the change to the small classrooms and the totally awesome teachers has made a HUGE difference for him. He has quickly become a stronger and more confident learner which is based on the outstanding teachers and their educational skills. The academics at McLean School are competitive and sometimes even demanding but the teachers always seem to know how to balance the work loads with great field trips and ways to relax the students while working towards educational exellence. Well Done McLean!
Small class sizes, great supports, teachers that care and are experts. The sports program is not great. The grade sizes are small so not as many friends as other bigger schools.
