Mclean County High School is a great school. The teachers are very caring and helpful. This High School is like a family everyone is close and everyone helps each other out. Mclean County High School is a very small school. So everyone knows everyone. I transferred my senior year. The students, teachers, and staff could not have been anymore kind to me. They welcomed me with open arms and I am so grateful. I have moderate to severe dyslexia and the staff and teachers were so helpful and caring with getting my accommodations in place. Mclean County High School is a wonderful school and a wonderful community. I would recommend this school to anyone. I do think a persons overall experience in high school is very important and has a strong impact for every young adult.

My favorite thing about McLean County High School is how small our school is. I could never imagine going to a school with over 400 students in it. I love that everyone is known by everyone. The students are very kind, and I feel, very caring towards everyone's feelings. One of my favorite events that our school does is called “Sunrise School Spirit”, it takes place in Kentucky and a few states surrounding us. The goal is to see which school can collect the most non perishable food items, then all of these food items are donated to the Tri-State Food Bank and given to families in need. A few things I would like to see change are for our teachers to not be focused on certain groups of students. I would love for our clubs to be more involved like have more club days, and I also think we should have more activities take place with the clubs, such as; field trips, community activities, schools competition, etc.
McLean County High School is certainly an interesting place. It is located in Western Kentucky. We have about 120 kids in our class so we are a small school. There are a lot of things about McLean County that make it a great place, but there are also a lot of things that I would change.
McLean County High School definitely has a lot to offer. Because we are a small school, building a community within is very easy. I know all of my classmates by first name and I can talk to the administration about anything. Because we have a well established community, our school pride is beyond great. It doesn't matter if it's Friday night football games, spirit week, or a food drive, we all attend with pride. MCHS also has a wide variety of extracurricular's.
One thing that MCHS lacks is diversity. Our school is mainly white and Christian, so students don't get to see much diversity. However, to combat this problem, we have many foreign exchange students come to our school to diversify it.
