We had high hopes for MCA after I had a great Christian school education. Unfortunately, with every passing year the school has moved further from a "Christian" education and increasingly towards simply a private education.

The organizational setup is a nightmare. With a self-perpetuating board, the reality is that once a majority is in power, it will continue to stay in power. There is a lack of accountability and transparency in leadership that only gets worse the higher you go.

For all the expense and elite facade, paying attention to detail or having a professional, polished delivery are completely missing. At graduation, there was no sign of when the ceremony began, no one knew they were supposed to stand for the professional, the bulletin had multiple copy editing errors and, to top it off, the diplomas weren't ready and when they were mailed, they had a misspelling!

It's sad that a place with such potential seems to be squandering it completely.

I loved the Christian environment, how involved the teachers are, and how challenging the courses are. This school does an amazing job of preparing you for college! The only thing that disappointed me during my time at school was the lack of enforcement staff has in limiting bullying amongst students.
I have been at Mckinney Christian Academy for 5 years. The environment is very encouraging and positive. Since it is a Christian, private school, we have chapel services and biblical classes. MCA shows an abundance of school spirit at our sports games. The students are hard working and care about the work they are giving to their teachers. MCA has many volunteer opportunities for students and families. I would recommend MCA for students who love a small school (class size ranges from 40-70 students per grade). This class size gives people an opportunity to grow closer with their classmates and faculty members.
