The teachers were amazing. I played basketball and baseball, and their coaches will always be important to me. I went through some tough times with my family during high school. The teachers and coaches were with me through it 100% of the time. I always knew I could rely on them for their support.
I also have a great group of friends. I hope these friends will keep in touch with me for the rest of our lives.
The education was good too. They offer a lot of classes and options. I think the kids going there in the next few years will have so many new opportunities. They are building a huge addition and expanding what the offer.
It was a really great school and I am going to miss it!

Diversity is low
Academically there are low standards
There is a lack of communication between the faculty and the students about college information and readiness. They do not provide a lot of dual-enrollment classes with the colleges, which sets graduates behind after high school.
AP classes are heavily pushed so the school can reap the benefits of funding but there are little rewards with a lack of good teaching.

The environment and community surrounding the school is absolutely amazing. People are kind and no one is afraid to enter the school. There is a lot of community involvement around the school as well. From Key Club in the school, to any community involvement, people are always looking for opportunities to help out around town. The classes offered at West Campus rage from the level of education each person may need. There are the regular basis classes and there are the AP classes that help to prepare you for college and give you college credit. The overall purpose behind West classes is t prepare each individual student for after high school. Besides the classes, there are many clubs and activities for every student! Ranging from a video gaming club to the average sports teams. There is something for every kid to enjoy and get involved in. McHenry West Campus focuses on what is best for their students before anything else.
