The teachers are well educated but really only teach according to how the general student learns. If you are a student that doesn't understand material by hearing it once, the teachers are unable to help.

McFarland high school is a great, clean, and safe building. However, it does not quite have the resources to give kids the opportunity to get as many AP credits as possible. Many students from other schools come to college with 15-20+ AP credits, but at McFarland, the AP offerings are slim and should be expanded.
Model UN is awesome. It is where students who have an interest in foreign affairs to join. Students get to travel to various locations out of state where they congregate with students from other schools (sometimes worldwide.) It's an awesome opportunity to meet great, passionate and fun people. More people should join!

DECA is great. It is where students who are interested in business or the marketing world to join. Students get to go through nationals and get rewarded for their achievements made. This is also where students can just have some fun and go to sport games together with the teacher in charge. You also get to travel outside of Madison for meetings. I would say this club is the most popular here.

Ambassadors is extremely powerful. It is where anyone can join; anyone with an interest of volunteering. This is where students can help their community and give back. At the end, all your hours get totaled up and if it is high enough you can earn an award in front of the whole school. This club is the second popular rank, although, some students do lack in commitment and need to come in more often.

The list goes on. But those three are just the most important ones here I believe that WILL make an impact on a person's life. Model UN teaches students about the world, and how to speak up for your beliefs and to stand up in front of the most powerful people. DECA teaches students how to market what you love and works on social bonding. Lastly, Ambassadors teaches students to give back and be thankful for what you have. Whatever happens after I graduate, I hope McFarland High keeps these three in tact and never remove them from this school. Students WILL miss out on some great experience. Thank you.
