Being an alumni from McCaskey and IB diploma recipient, there are no other educational expirence that can compare to McCaskey’s teachers and academics. The teachers at J.P McCaskey truly care about the student’s educational expirence. They consistently put effort into students learning and succeeding in academics as well as encouraging personal growth. McCaskey is an extremely diverse high school, students not only come from different countries and ethnicities but also is economically diverse.

On top of top of the variety In acedamic levels, cultural appreciation and diversity, staff aid, resources, and opportunities, McCaskey is a great Highschool. Many people and other schools have a name for us due to their lack of understanding and opinions but we identify as a harmonious community where you have a place no matter the
gender preference, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, and interests you have. There are clubs for anything you can think of and the fact we are split into Small Learning Communities you. Many students find teachers they grow great relationships with and push them to become better. Many other factors we have that other schools don’t is a peer mediation program where students offer their set of ears to help students talk about their problems. We have a positive environment and a safe one thanks to our coaches, facility and staff, and student body. And no mater the sport, club, interests,or areas of education, we are all Red Tornado strong and proud.
McCaskey is very diverse and the school provides you with all the necessary tools to succeed, but you have to apply yourself. The higher level classes are very challenging but also very rewarding. I recommend taking those kinds of classes because they will definitely play off in the long run. Especially if you can pass the exams and get college credit. McCaskey gets a really bad reputation that overshadows all the good things about it. As long as you actually care about your education and try to do well in school, then you will have no problem achieving all that you set out to achieve. They also have very good college and career resources. The advisors there were crucial in my college application process and, without them, I would still be struggling to figure everything out. I came to McCaskey my senior year of high school and, so far, I have had an amazing experience. I really feel like I am prepared to go to college and to become an adult.
