McArthur high school is a very diverse school; with students of various backgrounds, beliefs, and lifestyles. This school has recently adopted Cambridge courses for students to take, helping them prepare for university, and earn college credits. Similar to most schools, some teachers genuinely care about the students and offer aid anywhere need, and there are a few teachers that aren't as involved. Sadly, the students at this school don't showcase much school spirit, and there aren't as many activities as other schools in Broward County. Overall, McArthur is a delightful school and has recently hired a new principal, and it seems like he is ready to steer the school In an even better direction than before.
McArthur is a decent school it’s like any average high school weed, drama, boys, inappropriate intercourses etc.... The teachers on the other hand, are okay although their are some that shouldn’t even be allowed to teach. Some teachers at this school can be ruthless and mean no matter what the situation is. I think the school should include better electives that are actually fun and cool after-school activities. Clubs here are decent they could be better if the school spent more time on them though, the school mostly cares about the football and basketball teams which is normal for most high schools anyway. Overall the school is not the best but, it’s also not the worst.
I have been attending McArthur High school for about almost 3 years now and I have enjoyed every step of the way so far! Of course there have been some rough patches and bumps along the way but no school is a perfect one. During those tough times, I struggled with my math class. Through all the tears and stress, the teachers reached out and lent me a helping hand every time. My school offers a free after school program to the students. In this program the teachers stay after school and use up their own free time to help the students who need extra help. Everyday i'd have a teacher with me helping me with my homework, answering my questions, and explaining things to me I didn't understand. This school has really made my high school experience enjoyable and I wouldn't ever trade my experience here for anything else!
