I have been attending McArthur High school for about almost 3 years now and I have enjoyed every step of the way so far! Of course there have been some rough patches and bumps along the way but no school is a perfect one. During those tough times, I struggled with my math class. Through all the tears and stress, the teachers reached out and lent me a helping hand every time. My school offers a free after school program to the students. In this program the teachers stay after school and use up their own free time to help the students who need extra help. Everyday i'd have a teacher with me helping me with my homework, answering my questions, and explaining things to me I didn't understand. This school has really made my high school experience enjoyable and I wouldn't ever trade my experience here for anything else!

From the school, I can highlight the help they provide to the students who are part of the ESL team, the teachers are very kind to us and make our activities and tasks a bit easier. Although I have these positive aspects, there are also many things that I would like to see change. I am well aware that the character of the school is made up of its students, but the administration could help by giving a little more motivation. For starters, I feel that we are treated as if we were children when in high school we are already one step away from becoming adults, they take supposed measures that are for our protection but they can not explain us with clear and reasonable reasons words that really happens I also believe that there is a great lack of respect on the part of the staff to the students who treat us as less, to shout and play with our time in an unbearable way.
The guidance counselor I had wasn't much help. My mom and I had to research everything concerning college and scholarships. My sports teams were awesome - water polo and swimming rock! My classes were fun, I did early admission to BC, because there were not enough challenging classes on campus.
