The four years I have attended at McHi have been a great four years. This school offers opportunities to earn college credit starting students sophomore year, which is very helpful to have to transition into college. There are numerous clubs offered to earn volunteer hours and activities to add to your college resume. The education offered by the teachers has been exceptional. The teachers are very skilled in teaching the lessons in a way that everyone will understand. All of my past teachers have offered support through every 6 weeks, being their when I want to better my knowledge and many have even helped me with inquires about college applications, which has helped me become more than prepared to transition into college. McHi is an overall great school, whether it comes to academics, sports, or clubs, it is well equipped in every aspect.

First of all, McAllen High School is an institution that is recognized throughout all the district, it is because of the Music Arts, Diversity, but especially in academics. McAllen High School offers good CTE courses that help you find a job in the future. In my case, I'm taking a STEM class and I will have my certificate for Solid Works and Autodesk Inventor when I graduate. Also, I will be able to work with those certificates.
Second of all, nothing in life is perfect. In this case, this school has minimum mistakes. One of those issues is that there's not much security, and people don't respect the signs when coming to school.
McAllen High School, despite being in a district that prides itself on its own excellence, falls short by a rather large extent. Teachers do not teach well enough the material that needs to be learned; however, this is not by their own fault, rather by the fault of those who put the standards of curriculum so low. Certain sports, such as wrestling, girl's soccer, and powerlifting, do have good programs, but there are others, such as football, have relatively horrible programs.
