I've been attending Maynard High School since 8th grade because during that time 8th graders were transferred to the new building. My overall experience was relatively good because the school provided great extracurricular opportunities, athletics, and a good variety of classes. However, I would have preferred if more Advanced Placement (AP) classes were offered because many individuals including myself resorted to virtual high school courses and interacting with teachers in person is more beneficial. The teachers are great at assisting students when they're actively searching for help. I wish Maynard High School would better prepare students for the college process because it's confusing and guidance would've helped me. Overall, MHS is a good school but there should be improvements regarding the variety of classes and preparation for after high school.

I enjoyed the student to teacher ratio of MHS more than anything. Teachers stay after school hours in order to help students that need a better understanding of material taught in class, or just for extra help/guidance. The building itself is beautiful; recently built and big windows letting in natural light which is highly appreciated by students.
Overall with the teachers it was a good experience, a lot of the teachers I had were very caring and had a good teaching style. They were also always happy to stay for extra help with me. But the school itself likes to hold information back from students so we don't know what's going on, which I did not like.
