My school experience at Mayfield High school has been about average. The best thing about this school is the spirit that we have for our sports. Our school is considered to be a sports school, especially since we have a big rivalry with another school. Another good thing about our school is the arts, which include theatre, band, orchestra, and choir. Our theatre club goes to state every year and they always come back with an award in different categories. The same with our band we usually do really good against the other bands in our districts. Teachers are a great help to the students at the school especially since they care for the students and where they go in the future after they leave high school. They'll help with college resumes and help you study for the different tests that you need for college. The student life is pretty great; everyone gets included in a club or group. On average this high school is good with just some rough patches here and there throughout the school.

When I moved to Mayfield I was having a hard time because I recently had moved to Las Cruces, NM from Austin, Texas. It was a big change they taught differently and I was behind on a lot of work due to being late into the school year. It was hard to adjust to the way the classes were because in Texas the classes we 5o mins and 7 period a day, when my family and I moved to Las Cruces, NM the classes we an hour and half and only 4 classes a day.
Something I would like to see changed is way teachers interacted with their students.
Teachers are great. The physical aspect of the school needs changing, very outdated. No bathroom locks is just one of the many things that needs fixing. It's a basic need yet they haven't had working locks on bathroom stalls since I attended since 8 years ago. School pride is decent since there is a city rivalry, I enjoyed it. When I attended, teachers were good and supportive.
