I enjoyed the friends I made and certain teachers there. The boarding students were a wonderful exposure to outside cultures and unique individuals. As an art student, the school lacked in creative programs and seemed more focused on sports. When my mental health was deteriorating, I received little to no help. I generally felt like an outcast because I did not fit into a category of a devout Catholic, a star athlete, or a straight A student. When I was struggling, I would go to my English teachers instead of the counselor because they showed genuine care and interest in me and my dreams. I often felt trapped and being forced to fit into a mold. As a unique, artistic person and part of the LGBTQ community, I did not thrive here. The school is a good fit for certain people just not me. If your faith life is important to you, this is the right place.

Maur Hill-Mount Academy is a very close and caring community where I felt right at home in. I think going to this school has helped me learn about and meet people from many different cultures. Maur Hill-Mount Academy's classes also challenge their students and prepare them for college-level classes. The only complaint I really have is that some of the teachers I feel weren't as committed to getting us ready for college as others. However, this school has created a very memorable highschool experience for me and has prepared me for the next step in life.
In my four years at Maur Hill Mount Academy, I made friends from students all over the world and will always keep in touch with them. The teachers and faculty are outstanding at their jobs and I would surly hope to send my kids here in the future to come!
