My experience with Mater Dei was fun and interesting. I was able to achieve a 4.0 GPA while also living a social life. The teachers and staff was the best part of Mater Dei. They were caring and honestly wanted what was best for their students. The sports at Mater Dei was incredible and there were many talented athletes. However, school spirit was lackluster. Most students would leave at halftime for football games and other sports would have a small student section of at most 10 students, unless it was a game where ASB students could receive points. I wish Mater Dei offered more classes that would help students be independent young adults, such as classes that taught finance, cooking, taxes, credit, and first-aid. I also wished they offered more hands on classes to cater to those who are interested in a trade school or those who just want to build something, such as myself. They offer Robotics, but more workshop classes, including wood and metal work, would have been appreciated.

Overall, my school experiences have been wonderful and absolutely perfect! I absolutely love the teachers/staff as they help me in all ways possible. I love the school pride that each student has and I love all of the sporting games that make me proud that I am a Monarch at Mater Dei High School!
Mater Dei High School is the best thing that has happened to me! Before coming to Mater Dei, I didn’t have a sense of direction on what I wanted out of my high school experience. I wanted to be a student, an athlete, a student leader, and just get involved in everything. Mater Dei allowed me to do all of that and even allowed me the opportunity to create my own clubs. I have had the opportunity to set myself up to go to remarkable universities and have made so many great connections in my four years here. There is no place that I would have rather gone. Mater Dei is my home and my family.
