Having a mother that has invested her time and patience into my education, it is easy for me to recognize a supportive and present parent. At Mater Academy, parents are obligated to complete a number of parent hours throughout the school year. This boost morale and parent involvement in the school. A parent involved in their child's education, helps the child feel secure and capable of shooting for the stars. Mater Academy has parents that attend every PTA meeting, chaperon countless events, volunteer as lunch distributors, and donate resources to the teachers and faculties.

I have spent my entire high school years dedicated to the different clubs and organizations in my school. Becoming members of different clubs and organizations gives you the platform to raise your voice on issues, and make friends that you can cherish for a life time. Clubs create bonds between the members that can never be broken. At mater academy, we have over 30 clubs that range from FCCLA to Social Justice League. At mater, clubs are promoted and members are encouraged to participate in different events. The most popular club has to be student government association that helps Mater Academy with its most exciting events.
I had a diverse selection of amazing experiences in this school. My favorite experiences academically were when I got a teacher that went above and beyond to push me to become a better student. I had several teachers in this school that I could say, with complete honesty, that pushed the class and made us better students. Also, the friends I made here quickly became my family. In addition, school events like homecoming week were well planned and decorated.
