My experience at MAST at FIU was an amazing experience. I enjoyed the environment that the school is established in. The chance to be in a high school as well as college allowed me to see how rigorous and mentally stimulating universities were. Being at the high school also allowed me to meet a diverse range of students as well as economic backgrounds. I enjoyed taking college level courses as well as taking high school courses as well. I would however like to see a new road construction for accessibility to the school. Since there is only one road that leads you in and out, the safety as well as the convenience of parents and students is very thin. I would also like that the school gave more activities throughout the year. Overall, the school provides a lot of resources and opportunities for teens to achieve their academic goal.

Mast at FIU is a really good school for people who want to be academically challenged. Since the school is in FIU, it gives high schoolers a unique experience. Students are easily adapted to college life but do lose a typical high school experience with sports, band, art, theater and so on. Since the school is marine-focused, the Biscayne bay campus gives students the perfect environment to learn about marine species. Mast at FIU is good if the student wants to be there and be engaged, there are so many opportunities for dual enrolment and internship. Students who take advantage of what is available to them are for sure to be successful.
mast is a really good choice if you wanna step it up with academics as you can take college classes through dual enrollment and a lot of APs. because we share the campus with FIU we share all the benefits yes of the campus which is really nice. the teachers overall are pretty good except chemistry and physics i would say. if you wanna go into marine/environmental science this school is most definitely for you. downside is that it’s a very small school, there’s basically no school spirit and administration is hard to work with for planning school activities. great selection of clubs tho!
