Mast Academy is a one of a kind school. It's located right on the beach with the most beautiful views and amazing location. It is very interactive and you are likely to go kayaking, paddleboarding, and even snorkeling in the beach! Most teachers are very helpful and informative, wanting their students to pass the class and understand what is being taught. You will definitely be prepared for college. One of my favorite things about the school is that we don't have uniform so I can express myself through fashion! There are many clubs and groups to join tailored to all interests. I've had a wonderful time learning at Mast Academy.

From watching the sunrise on the Rickenbacker Causeway or taking a field trip to the beach, MAST Academy provides an above average and clearly unique education. The instructors are excellent and have inspired students to continue their studies of these subjects in the future. The college counselors at the school work hard to ensure that the students have what they need to do well after they leave. The selection of sports at the school is more limited than an average high school. But what MAST lacks in athletic variety it makes up for in the variety of clubs, publications, and competitive teams that students can become a part of. The school is divided into two different programs: Maritime and Cambridge. The Cambridge program mainly consists of students that are residents of Key Biscayne, while the Maritime program is made up of students from all over South Florida. There is a clear divide between these two groups and this divide can sometimes cause tension.
Mast Academy offers two advanced curriculum programs. The first one is the nationally recognized Cambridge program and the other one is the Maritime program. The Cambridge/ AICE program offers a pre-university course and it's sponsored by the Cambridge University in England. The Maritime and Science Technology program focuses on marine types of sciences and offers a variety of advanced placement courses dealing with these subjects. MAST Academy is also a magnet school, meaning you have to apply to get in and not everyone can easily get in!
