Massey Hill Classical High School Reviews

I love Massey Hill Classical! I have been a student for four years and every single faculty member made me feel welcome right from the start. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants something different with their education. Massey Hill has smaller class sizes so you are able to get more individualized attention from your teachers than you would if you went to a standard high school. Massey is the home of the Pirates, and while we do not have our own sports teams with the exception of the basketball and volleyball teams who compete yearly against Reid Ross Classical in the "Classical Challenge", you are still able to participate in sports of your choice at the school whose district you live in. Very few people are unhappy at Massey because of the variety of programs, clubs, and classes that are offered each year. If you go to Massey, you will always be proud to be a Pirate.
Teachers are engaging, kind, supportive, and very qualified. Most classes are challenging but also fun. Dances are enjoyable but not when in the cafeteria. The community is encouraging and your peers want to help you succeed. The food is pretty good most of the time, but I have had friends bring their own salt. They serve pizza every Wednesday, and its pizza hut. We have an undefeated sports team (nonexistent), and every single kid is totally athletic. Classical "challenges" are entertaining because it is an absolute joke. Everyone has a good sense of humour even though it is comprised mostly of sarcasm and dark humour. Very diverse community. The most dangerous thing that has happened was yelling across the lunchroom.
I love the fact that Massey Hill is a small school. It’s easy to get to know people and make friends who have similar interests as you. Massey Hill is a wonderful for academics as well. I feel like I’m actually learning. Massey Hill is also great about offering many different things so that everyone has something. Although we lack sports we have so many talented artist! I personally love our theater class and teacher. Our art program, itself, needs a lot of work but you will definitely find help through your peers and someone who shares the same interest at the very least. We all different type of people through all walks of life. Massey Hill has a lot of diversity and it’s a big family.
