The counselors were very helpful when information or paperwork was needed. Everyone was easily accessible and friendly when asking for assistance. The athletic opportunities provided were diverse and well-supported, especially for the size of the school. Athletic fields were in good shape and taken care of regularly. The students that attended the school were respectful and kind. The campus was clean and well-maintained, as well as safe with ample security measures in place. Teachers seemed genuinely interested in student success. The Christian mission of the school was important and adhered to daily with a primary focus being on prayer, Biblical application, and a Biblical worldview.
I absolutely love the academic program at MCS! The teachers know you well due to the small class sizes which allows for a more personal approach to education. While the academics are good, the facility overall could use some renovations, but they do strive to provide improvements as the funding comes. There are not that many clubs or extra curriculars provided through MCS and little diversity can be seen within the students and teachers of the school. Other than those few examples, MCS provides students with an excellent Christian-based education in a very safe environment.
As a recent graduate, I have seen so much change in the atmosphere at Maryville Christian School, and I am sad my time there is over. While at MCS, I learned how special it is to have Christian education. It isn't normal to walk into a school and see students sitting in on the bleachers praying, however, at Maryville Christian, this is normal. Several teachers really show how much they truly care about you and really invest in your life forever.
