I am a freshman at Marysville High School and so far it’s been great. They have good CTE pathway options and allow for out of district pathways as well. This school is also a historical monument with the main building formerly being a college and the original building (Now District Office) was made in the late 1800s. There are hydration stations located everywhere so there is no worry if you forget your water. For electives they have great choices such as Spanish, French, and American Sign Language. They also support A-G requirements and have access to a community college. MHS also is partnered with the FFA (Future Farmers of America) along with other agriculture classes. Overall this is a great school and I’m proud to be an Indian!
Overall, it's an okay school. I only liked a few teachers because they were really great at teaching, genuinely likes to teach, and made learning very fun! I actually felt that I was learning something useful everyday. The food here isn't the best so I would like to see that changed. I also would like there to be stricter rules on vaping at school. There are a lot of people who get away with vaping while in class and a lot of people think they're cool for doing it. Also, they should provide more foreign language classes because they only have Spanish so we really can't choose.
Marysville High School is in a lower income community, and therefore the facilities are not as outstanding as schools around us. At this school there are some amazing teachers and staff members that really care about the students; but the difference between teachers and staff who care and those who don't is quite obvious. The campus is mostly outdoors and is always kept clean. Our soccer fields and track are not the best, but athletes make due with what we have been given, even after there have been many requests to have them fixed or updated.
