Martinsburg High School is commonly known for athletics. However, I will say that I have had some of the best teachers teaching some of the best subjects. For example, when you think you might not need something in life, math particularly, the things you learn from the teachers are really beneficial!

Martinsburg high was and still is one of the best schools in the tri-state area for academics and sports! Loved attending this school for 4 years, opened up many opportunities for me to succeed with.
My first 2 years I was bullied everyday and nothing was done by the staff. During my first 3 years I dealt with self harm and it was only made worse by the school system. My Junior year, i was assigned to math teacher who did not speak English and I fell behind dramatically, when I went to the office they acknowledged he was a poor educator but would not transfer me to a different teacher. The school fire alarms have randomly gone off due to dust and filth since I started here. In my Freshman and Sophomore year i had a wonderful math teacher but he left due to little pay and a better job offer. I think this school could be much better if it was looked into from a higher level. I have over-heard special education teachers insult students and say how much they hate their job, there is not much love for the work left in this school anymore, many children fall victim to a broken system that doesn't work with children and adults with specific and special cases.
