What I liked about Martin High School is that I had many teachers who cared about my future and helped me prepare me for college. My teachers took the time to get to know me, and they knew how to help me differently from other students because not every student learns the same way. Although Martin does not offer all the courses that every student is interested in taking, I like that students can take these classes at another school and the credit still transfers. For example, Martin did not offer IB Dance, but I was still able to be in this class by going to another school in the same district and the credit still counted!

As a rising sophomore, I have gone through one year at Martin. I’ve had awesome teachers and coaches and learned a lot throughout the school year. Since there are about 3,500 students at Martin, it’s easy to get caught in the shuffle. As long as you find a group of friends you have something in common with, you’ll have a great high school experience. Since I’m involved with the tennis, STEM, and choir programs, I’m extremely busy, but I am having so much fun! Overall, Martin High School is a great school that prepares you for college and the workforce.
Compared to other schools within AISD, I believe that Martin is the best because of their rigorous fine arts program, STEM program, sports, and academics. Martin High School has definitely prepared me for college because I was involved in the AP program and taking PLTW courses. I wasn't even top 10% in high school, but I managed to make A's in all of my college courses and do better than people that were rank #10 or above from other schools! That just says that MHS is really competitive and gives students the right kind of education.
