I loved high school, and more importantly the staff working there! However, I wish the music wing had more improvements, since there has been a large growth in choir and band students over the past few years.

I enjoyed going to Marion overall. They taught the material well, if I ever had questions they were always there to answer them, they helped me in whatever way I needed. The teachers at Marion High School cared about the students; whether they passed or not, what their grades were and how they were doing emotionally.
I could ask any teacher to help me study and they would help without hesitation. We had many options to chose from with our classes. We had art classes, cooking classes, wood work, higher academic courses; which included going to Kirkwood without cost. We had great sports team and you didn't have to compete with your schoolmates to get in the sport. There are clubs for every interest; comic book, robotics, religious clubs etc.
The staff at Marion worked very hard for every student to graduate. It is a school that is perfect in size with over 600 students, not too big and not too small. Marion was also the first Blue Zone school in the entire world.
I transferred in the summer of my freshman year. I have really enjoyed all the experiences I have had. I have had so many academic opportunities available to me such as being able to talk advanced classes to challenge myself. There are many AP classes available to every student within the school. As far as guidance for our future, our guidance counselors are amazing. They are update with all the students making sure they are on track for graduation. They also meet individually with every senior student to discuss their college plans. As far as sports go at Marion, I have had a great experience. I have ran cross country and track and play basketball. I have had a chance to go to state for basketball the last two years with great teammates by my side.
