My Years in Marion Franklin haven't been the best, most of my surrounding peers are made up of bullies and druggies. There are the select few of us who are good students that have good behavior with good to outstanding grades. On the academic side this school is one of the LOWEST academic schools in the district and it would be great if they were higher on their teaching policy. Most the teachers and staff here are great and very helpful but as always you will have your select few you won't like or get along with. In my opinion only about 5% of the staff is rude and not fit for the school environment. If you are a Special needs child this isn't the best school for you and I wouldn't recommend it, I haven't experienced firsthand how these students are treated but I DO NOT agree with the way they are treated. They ARE NOT allowed to socialize with many students outside of their classrooms and aren't allowed to speak their opinions. I recommend finding a better school with more to offer.
Marion-Franklin has been fun in my experience. The senior classes before me were fun. The student body tries to make things exciting and to be involved. The school is heavily involved with football and the entire school supports our players no matter what. We do have our bad moments but it's just like any other school. The teachers, if you find the right one, will always be there to help you with whatever problem you have. If you have that connection with them they’ll always talk to you about something. Whether it’s personal or academic. The teachers I’ve had the last four years usually listen to our complaining, even if it’s about other teachers.
When I started at Marion I was new, and people did not take lightly to it. The school is very drama ridden, but there are good teachers and students there. Not all, but some of them do care. The football team is amazing.
