Marion County overall is a very good school. The campus itself is always clean and kept perfect. The school takes great pride in its student's and sports teams. The teachers are always sure to help the students with whatever they need help in whether that be before, during, or after class. The students get along well and rarely face difficulty in solving their problems.
One thing I would like to see improved in within the school system is support for the Concert and Marching Bands. Funding-wise they are supported the least compared to other school-driven activities. If given the proper funding the bands could prosper and make the school system even prouder.

I understand Marion County middle/high isn't the best school in the country, but to be completely honest I can't imagine going anywhere else. The teachers treat you like you're special and mean something. It doesn't matter that most of us come from poor low income families. The teachers still act as if every one of us will grow to be something fantastic;
and to me, that is the greatest thing a school can do.
Marion County Middle/High School, which is located near the small town of Buena Vista, GA, is filled with shining opportunities and interesting new people. The faculty and staff have intentions of pushing each and every individual to their full potential, especially in its Honors and Advanced Placement classes. With the many clubs and organizations--FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, FCA, the GHSA Literary team, etc., anyone can find the association that fits them and then experience that group's numerous activities (fundraisers, summer camps, and many more) and club meetings. Although this school has so many great characteristics and ideals of how their students should achieve success, it's not flawless and could expand the number of programs they have--for instance, our school in now considering forming a high school chess team--and show some leniency on the school's strict lunch policies.
