Rigorous curriculum, caring and engaged teachers! Marine Science is a very heavily science and match geared school that gives students all they need to excel in college.
As a senior about to graduate, I can say that I will definitely miss this place. Even though the pandemic disrupted things, I still had an outstanding experience and I think MSMHS was the best possible place I could have gone for high school. Even with the changes caused by the pandemic, the school community stayed strong, mainly due to our teachers. The teachers here are some of the best human beings I have ever met, and they really, truly care about each individual student. It's a small school (my grade is around 60 people, so everybody knows everybody), but this also allows us to have smaller class sizes where teachers can actually get to know students. The current school administration is pretty open about listening to student opinions and seems likely to make some real changes based on that in the future. Something to note is that the administration underwent some notable changes in staff a few years ago, so old reviews will likely reflect the past administration.
I absolutely love Marine Science! I walked into Marien Science not knowing many people and by the end of freshman year we all came family. The teachers are amazing and they are always willing to help you out. No matter the circumstances or time. You get to have very interactive classes and a lot of field time on boats. Marien Science is a smaller school but everyone feels like they have a role and a place here!
