What I liked the most about the Marine Academy of Science and Technology was the sense of community. Both students and faculty at this school always look out for each other, creating the atmosphere of a "MAST family." Additionally, students at this school are there for a same reason. This school accepts the top performing students from each district. This exclusivity results in a student body of motivated, driven and enthusiastic learners. The only thing I would change is the emphasis on the NJROTC aspect. Participation in this program is an integral part of the school, but some students are more reluctant than others to become involved with the US Navy. Overall, the Marine Academy of Science and Technology is an outstanding school.

The Marine Academy of Science and Technology is an excellent school that focuses on developing alumni who embody important values like respect, honor, and commitment. The school has a mandatory NJROTC which instills discipline and comes with a great uniform. The academics are spectacular with teachers who truly care about you and want you to succeed. The food is excellent, as the cafeteria is run by a certified chef who makes fantastic food. The school is situated on Sandy Hook and is absolutely beautiful, especially if you're a fan of sunrises. The school has a generally awesome atmosphere and students leave the school with lasting bonds and great memories.
The Marine Academy of Science and Technology provides all students with a wonderful opportunity to prepare themselves for a bright and successful future. The academics are challenging, yet rewarding, and all of the teachers are supportive of every student and want to see them flourish. Because it is such a small school, the student body lacks diversity and does not have any sports teams. Despite these small issues, MAST is a tight knit community that will be beneficial for any hardworking student to attend to prepare them for college.
