My experience at Marietta High School has been interesting. I missed a good chunk of high school because of the pandemic, but I still have had some experience at MHS. I have had some really great, caring teachers and some who were the complete opposite. There are many career pathways, higher-level classes, arts, and extracurriculars to take part in at MHS, so I think that is something to appreciate and take advantage of. The fights that happen between students are an issue, which does make me concerned about our safety at times. I think MHS should address and prioritize the mental health of students and even teachers, especially after the impacts of the pandemic. Overall, I think Marietta High School is a good, well-rounded, racially and socially diverse school,
but I believe it can be improved in the ways I mentioned.

Marietta High school was an amazing school and the experience was like none other. The school itself is an amazing building with a lot of natural light, improving the school experience. Marietta as a town has the most amazing school spirit, so many people living downtown come to the games and support the school. The teachers at Marietta are amazing, specifically in the "IB" program. The international baccalaureate program leaves students with amazing opportunities to grow and develop in their skills. The "IB" program is not super common so having that program in a public high school is amazing. This is helpful to the college process and applying.
Marietta High School was one of the few things I had to look forward to due to the poor living conditions I was in then. Forced to either participate in illegal activities or finish my education, I put my education first. Luckily Marietta High School cares significantly for their less fortunate students just by having their own Student Life Center, which provides students with much-needed mental and emotional support, which helped me tremendously during my time there. While I struggled my first year, I'd like to think that I picked myself up throughout the rest and managed to graduate my last year with all A's, something I never thought I'd be able to achieve.
