I loved Marian High School! Their motto of Empower, Explore, Excel didn’t really make a ton of sense to me until I was in college and realized how much Marian really made me grow into the person I am today. They promote strong women with strong opinions and great communication and analytical skills. I felt unbelievably prepared for college and as a college grad I am still very close friends with 8 of my college friends, and we still see each other whenever we are all home in the area together.

I love Marian. I think the school prepares you extremely well for what ever college or university that you may attend in the future. The rigor is most definitely there and you are challenged and pushed to succeed. However, I do not think the school is diverse enough. Marian is predominantly white and it is 2018; it should definitely more diverse in the time we are living in now. It doesn't seem like they try to make improvements to recruit more students from different backgrounds than the same Bloomfield or Birmingham Catholic Caucasian female.
This school incorporates academics, faith, and service between all girls that has got me into my top college choice! This school is competitive yet welcoming and inviting to all girls. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else! No doubt a well-rounded school through arts, drama, and athletics as well.
