Marian differentiates itself from other schools through the dedication of its teachers and staff and the sense of community it fosters with the students. Marian teachers consistently go above and beyond to make sure all students understand the material and provide extra support for those students who need it. Additionally, Marian teachers are keenly aware of the social and emotional health of their students. They are consistently checking in with their students to make sure they can be successful inside and outside the classroom. The students have created a great sense of community through their classes, field day, homerooms, and activities. Marian has taught my daughter to thrive and to rise to challenges. I cannot recommend this school highly enough to prepare your daughters for college and life.

Marian does a very good job of preparing you for college. Each and every member of the staff is willing to help students through any problems they may come across. The guidance department is absolutely excellent. The guidance counselors do a wonderful job of providing students with step-by-step help when applying to college, looking for scholarships, and even local job opportunities. They also are very open to providing moral support to students whenever they are feeling stressed and need comforting. However, the administration sometimes gets carried away with punishing students for the little things, like wearing sweatshirts with our uniforms. They should do a better job of focusing on the important aspects of the school.
I previously went to Marian High School, but transferred after my sophomore year. Many of the teachers teach material based on their own opinions. For example, my freshman year biology teacher did not teach evolution. The administration constantly gives detentions to those who have done nothing wrong. In addition, the students create a very toxic environment for others. Everyone always talks about people behind their backs. Also, many students cheat on tests, leaving those who do not to get lower scores.
