Nearly any public school will be a better choice. We sent several kids through and kept hoping it was just a rough patch (like a 6 yr rough patch!), but now we know it's a deep downward spiral that will require a lot to fix. Administrative problems, high faculty turn-around, declining enrollment, a tiny, rigid curriculum which - b/c of declining enrollment and lack of teachers isn't even fully available. Seriously, send your kid to your parish youth group if you want the Catholic influence and just go to your public school. There he/she will be better prepared for college and have access to many more resources and opportunities, and you'll have saved $30,000 plus. I regret this is how we feel about the school, but we hung on as long as we could until we realized it wasn't fair to our kids.

This is quite possibly one of the best private, college prep school to attend in order to ensure a successful college experience. Furthermore, it doesn't only prepare you for college, but it also prepares you to be a strong, level headed, adult that can see both sides of arguments and ensure upmost equality between all people you will encounter. If there was truly anything I wish I could improve, it would be Marian Centrals facilities. I would like to put in air conditioning if so possible, and do more maintenance work on some aspects of the building.
The academics are excellent and prepare students for college. ACT prep is part of all classes and smart students will be challenged. The students have to work hard but they are rewarded. They lack a good program in technology but are improving in that, adding Chrome books this year. There's some challenges with the changes in the administration but is heading in the right direction.
