Maria Regina High School Reviews
Rating 4.24 out of 5 160 reviews
I loved maria regina. In general, it is a great school. Most of the teachers are helpful, we have fun activities such as food trucks, spirit week for holidays, etc. We also do a lot of retreats which are great bonding experiences for girls to get to know each other on a deeper level. I do have to say that the clubs are not that great at all. Although MRHS does have atleast 15+ clubs I would say, there are only a small number of them that actually do fun activities and have meetings regularly. Peer ministry and PAWS club are great in my personal opinion. Peer ministry helps students get closer to their peers, help other students, and organize many events during the schoolyear. PAWS is a great club because every year they visit a shelter and donate a bunch of resources to them, which I think is truly outstanding. The school lunch is pretty good, just a little bit expensive. The landscaping of the school is really improving, as the flowers and the courtyard for seniors is beautiful.
Maria Regina is a relatively small school, which serves as an advantage to an incoming freshman as it will make the adjustment to a new environment easier. The school's academic focus is fixated on discussion and interaction to allow for better comprehension and alternate feedback. It offers a range of subjects at various levels to open opportunities for challenge and intellectual growth. Socially, the staff members are genuinely concerned for the growth of each student in every aspect. Each grade is composed of around 90 girls, making it easier to form friendships and commit each person to memory. The community is tightly knit together and reinforced through countless projects and events that are executed by a team of teachers and students. Overall a great school!
The best 4 years ever! From the friends I made the amazing soccer team, I will cherish all the memories I made for the rest of my life.
