Administration was extremely poor, affected student life and success tremendously. I struggled as a student here, but excelled in college. I never received the support or recognition for help here, and when I reached out it was never acknowledged. Faculty administration wise is the worst! Instructors are mixed, some great, others not but probably just your average high school teachers. Campus smells very bad due to the plants they planted which makes eating and relaxing during breaks unfortunate for students, not allowed to go off campus so stuck smelling the entire time you're at school!

MCHS is the only High School that I've attended, and I'm very happy with my experience. Academics, Arts, and the teachers that teach them are all excellent. Particularly in advanced versions of courses, or at higher levels. I'm an Honors student, so my view is biased, though from what I've heard, this wonderful level of quality is not maintained in academic level courses. Some of the teachers are just not great for some students, and those students have to try incredibly hard for the teachers to treat them well. Of course if, as a student, you are able to make yourself likeable for your teachers, you'll get along just fine. Unfortunately, the school district is facing budget cuts, and has said they will remove these college-preparatory classes from the curriculum by around 2022, which will bring down the level of college-preparedness graduating students gain from attending this High School.
Overall, a great high school for the academically inclined.
The school sets up students to succeed. It seemed students were given any opportunities they needed to succeed. Advanced students had opportunities for rigorous coursework, and even more rigorous Advanced Placement classes with great teachers. Student athletes had access to state of the art fields, courts, weight room, and coaches. Students who weren't prepping for university were given access to an auto shop and certification for the auto industry. Surprisingly, 50% of my graduating class attended our local community college directly after high school, which is nationally ranked as well.
