At a first glance, MIT Academy does not look like your typical high school. The classrooms are trailers, there are no sports fields, and the school is right next to a farm. Yes a farm! But once you look past the poor campus facilities you can see that MIT has a great sense of community. The students look out for each other and the teachers provide all their students all the support that they need. Yes we may not have the pretties school but education wise the academics that we have at the school have been recognized and awarded for being one of the best schools in the country.

The academics are good and the classes are close knit. There are good teachers who actually care about your education. Only problem is that the admin keeps adding unnecessary restrictions on the students. For example, they won't allow students to put stuff in their cars, but the school doesn't provide lockers, and they recently added a restriction where students cannot wear school hoodies on non dress days unless they are black or white, despite students having paid for them through the school and was approved not even a week ago.
MIT Academy is a very good school to attend to. The academics help challenge us to do better and MIT helps prepare their students by putting their main focus on preparing for college. MIT has a program called AVID and it is essentially a college prep class. There is a major lack in sports. MIT only has 2 sports, step team and color guard. The students who would like to participate in sports like soccer or basketball play for different schools. Also MIT's campus is not the best. There are no hallways or lockers, meaning students have to lug around heavy backpacks and when it's raining students have to walk to class in the rain. Since there is only one walkway going to the high school campus to the middle school campus there is a lot of students crowded into that one walkway which makes traveling to class slower but MIT will renovate their campus in the future to have better facilities.
