My high school experience at Marcus High School was a high achieving and competitive academic experience. Most of the teachers at this school were helpful to students and thoroughly taught the academic courses, although sometimes a student may have stumbled upon a less engaging teacher and struggled to pass it.
The atmosphere at this school is friendly in that there’s a wide variety of clubs and actives that students can participate in and express their interests. Also, the population at this school is fairly big and therefore makes it easier to communicate with fellow students and make friends.
One thing that needs to change however would be in regard to the few scarce meetings regarding how to prepare for college. Although the staff are busy doing their jobs, I believe they could improve on this subject greatly, as lots of students may have been confused about what steps to take for college.

Marcus high school is an academically and athletically competitive school. The students are driven by their peers to perform well in class, and there is a great sense of moral centered around the sports. I specifically participated in Theatre during my high school term. The arts are not as funded as other programs, however are better than other surrounding school districts. The teachers need to be properly reviewed because there are some discrepancies between one man to the next, even under the same subject and curriculum. Regarding the theatre department, the teaching staff is poor, but the community and parent support keep the program above average.
I love my school. The teacher are very helpful, our building is safe, and the community is positive. Marcus has a very welcoming student body to everyone from different backgrounds. Our teachers are always there for us when it comes to schedule mess ups, failing or lower grades, and personally issues. Our building is always getting improve to upgrade our safety like no window doors, new doorbells, and a lanyard around our neck at all times. We are great food that is there for all students, even the ones with special dietary needs. Marcus is always improving itself for the benefit of their student body. I am grateful to call myself a Marauder.
