One thing I love about Marcellus is the care and love for sports and keeping the kids active in school activities and keeping tradition alive. A thing that I would like to see change is the teaching staff. They got rid of a teacher that connects to the students because he treats us with respect and he believed that even though we talked and messed around his class almost all of us passed. Not because it was easy, it was quite difficult honestly. Now we have teachers that are stricter than collage professors.
I like the small close nit community where everyone knows everyone. This is a very calm and relaxed community where you can be yourself. The teachers are helpful and always willing to work with you on anything. There are many opportunities here that help Juniors and Seniors get a head start on life. Our options are; going to the Van Buren Technology Center, doing duel enrollment, and early middle college. One thing I would change about Marcellus is to have more life time survival classes such as a home economics class that would teach us how to cook, clean, iron clothes, change a tire, etc.
The teachers are kind and the curriculum is well explained to the students. The food tastes good and the lunchroom is very clean.
