Mar Vista High, home of the Mariners! I would say out of all the highschools I went to Mar Vista High is the best school I've ever attended! The campus has so much diversity I felt welcome to be there. The school staff is very friendly and more than happy to help their students. Mar Vista High is well known for their excellent teachers. The teachers are so enthusiastic to each every single day, you can tell they're not there to teach just for the money, but because they actually care about their students. I really appreciate this the most about my school because student often don't get that feeling from teachers. The community is smaller than the average highschool, but that's a good thing! Everyone here knows each other and everyone is on good terms. There's rarely any bullying which makes this school a safer environment to be in, especially where you want to be somewhere to feel welcomed while receiving your education. I highly recommend coming to this school!

Mar vista high school is all in all a good school. We’re right next to the beach so we have a unique experience, especially with out Marine Biology program. It’s always sunny and you always have a faint smell of the ocean breeze. It really is a close knit community and all students have a great sense of pride coming from Mar Vista. Go Mariners!
The overall experience that I have endured up until the beginning of my junior year has been overall tolerable. There are a variety of great programs within the boundaries of the school's available education, for example, the "Posiden" program and NJROTC program. The staff and teachers from the classes I have participated in were all grateful to be of help to their students and care for teaching they were required to instruct. Granted every school has it's select few teachers that are not displayed wonderfully, yet there were plenty of opportunities for each student to seek any help about the subject. On a personal note about the school, the overall feel of the school was to be of acceptance. There little of any ridicule of targeted students for bullying purposes.
