This school is amazing!! The teachers are so kind, they are always so busy working to improve their students learning which is why people may not see the garden being harvested (they do it during school hours too). Teachers can be required by law and the district to report incidents like the ones mentioned in the other review. However, the students won't be arrested!! As a student I loved going to the pumpkin patch in kindergarten. I also enjoyed going all the other field trips. But the highlight was going to Payson for 3 days in 5th grade. I loved having Mrs. Michael, however all the other staff are awesome too! The food is bad though, but they can't do much about it (the district hires the food company). It is a very safe school. There is also lots of after school activities. The school culture is awesome, parents are involved a lot. They even have a book barn. This was an awesome school to attend!

Some of the teachers are EXCELLENT, but they are muted by the administration. The hot meals provided are of horrible quality. There is a garden at the front of the school, but I've never seen anyone harvest from it. There are a few commissioned BE KIND murals too. But honestly, I think it would have been more KIND of the parents to donate that money and time to the underpaid teachers. But here's the worst part, teachers are REQUIRED to call the police on children who throw a rock at another child in the playground or smack another kid's bum. It's terrifying. A police officer shows up and may arrest your child AT SCHOOL. I can see how a child would feel intimidated in that environment. All I can say is, just because a school looks pretty & the kids test well doesn't mean it's a healthy environment for everyone.
