My high school experience keeps me busy. I'm pretty much involved or associated several sports and organizations within the school itself. I learned to live and grow through integrity and leadership in JROTC, Yearbook, and Color Guard. Each year, the school changes and evolve into even better than before through band, JROTC, academic decathlon, and many more! Mansfield Summit High School is known for its diversity compared to other MISD schools in the district. Summit is increasingly becoming more popular and expanding its numbers.

Overall, my experience at Summit High School has been a very positive experience. The environment is great and the students and staff are very welcoming. The athletic department of Summit may be improved in some areas such as being more understanding and reasoning with the students but other than those very small, minute details, they are a great staff. The faculty at Summit do a lot to get the students involved and working together. For example, one of the long time coaches at Summit recently got the news that one of his daughters,Emma was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Immediately after, the students and staff at Summit have stopped at nothing to show the family support throughout the hard time they are going through. Being that Emma is also my long time best friend Grace's sister, I've been there with the family to see what an impact the support Summit has provided has made on them. Summit is a great school and I'm glad I get to call myself a Jaguar!
As a former student of Mansfield Summit High School, I have to say they have problems like any other school. I was bullied and tried to report it to my teacher. The girl was a high acheiving student so nothing was done. I went to the principal, still nothing was done. I was harrassed for three years until this girl graduated. Just because someone is nice to a teacher doesn't mean they aren't a problem student. On top of that I tried to talk to other teachers and they just wanted to harrassed me about small things. I felt defeated and never wanted to go to school. I constantly called my mom to come and pick me up from school because I couldn't take it. How many others are there like me? We have to be better than this!
