My experience at Hunter has been absolutely terrible. Most of the teachers are terrible and underqualified, there have been numerous bullying incidents (both teachers bullying students and other students bullying their peers) which have gone without consequence, and the general consensus is that most if not all students either do not have the will to come to school every day because of how horrible it is or are miserable and unheard by staff. I truly believe my score was generous; there are very few key staff members that care about students and the truth is we all just can't wait to get off of MLK campus and get to the college.

Generally, this school is actually above average than most schools in the city in terms of academics and community. The teachers are genuinely committed in the students' learning and the curriculum continues to expand although it is a small school. However, it is important to note that it is a small school, so there will be some discrepancies compared to a larger school. Nonetheless, it is still a high school worth attending for your four years.
Our MHSHS family has always provided us with a safe and homely environment to grow and learn in. MHSHS truly believes that every moment of our life is a learning experience, and no matter what, education will bring unlimited opportunities for us. One thing that truly differentiates us from other school is our constant urge and yearning to learn and work hard. Being part of an early high school college is a very selective experience. Being a senior in high school, I am already taking classes and having a college experience in CUNY's Hunter College. MHSHS is a selective school. Of 7000 applications, only 100 seats are available. MHSHS has immense opportunities and a breathtaking effort towards all its students.
