MHSHS was a pretty good experience because I was able to learn in a diverse setting where everyone was so keen and focused on their own academic individual selves. In this sense, it created an environment that fostered learning in the best way through a growth mindset. The actual student body is very condensed and because of such, the setting is "everybody knows everybody," which almost creates this sense of unity and community. Everyone is especially excited for senior year, where seniors are able to take real college courses at Hunter College alongside their high school courses, which is really cool because it gives you the advantage of knowing what's to come in college before everyone else (early college experience).

My experience at Manhattan Hunter Science Highschool was amazing. The low number of students in the school made it possible for class sizes to be small and intimate, relationships with teachers and among students were genuine. Everyone in the school knew each other, all the teachers and staff knew me by name! There were many clubs available, I myself participated in a culinary club and teacher club. Thanks to this school being an early college school, I am pursuing my education at Hunter College.
The class size was small about 100 kids in my grade, which I loved! All of the teachers were able to give their full attention to their students and make sure no kid is left behind. And the fact that we were able to experience college firsthand, by taking college classes at Hunter College in our senior year helped so much when I actually entered college.
