I am so blessed to have been able to attend Manhattan Christian School since preschool! It would be much easier financially to go to a public school, but the healthy environment has kept me at Manhattan Christian year after year.
No school is perfect, and Manhattan Christian School isn't exempt from that. I'm sometimes surprised and disappointed when students and faculty do not by their actions represent Christ. But, I'm sure that if I were to attend a local public school, it would be a shock to see how much worse things could be. Over all, MCS is an ideal place for families who are passionate about Christ, and want their children to spend most of their lives in an environment that promotes faith and love, so that when it is time for them to choose what they believe, they can confidently say that Jesus is Lord over their life.

Manhattan Christain School offers the traditional Small School/Private School experience: there is both a suffocating air of elitism and the expected excellence in academics (and even more so in athletics). Students will undoubtedly enjoy their years at MCS if they are Involved, Preppy, Extroverted and Brainless; many speak highly of the supportive faculty, integrated (and vaguely hypocritical) Christianity, though one must be aware of the school's sharply edged classism and blind entitlement that may driver loners/nerds/introverts to consider suicide.
Manhattan Christian was a very good experience for me, and I will miss the teachers and students that helped me through it. Over all it has been a good high school for me, though there are some things that I would change. I graduated (2018) just as everything is starting to go downhill fast. This is largely due to the administration that is in place right now. The high school principal is going into what I believe is his third year at MCS, and has so far succeeded in ruining many of the best aspects of the school, and has plans for more next year. Aside from this most of the staff is very nice, and I have made some life-long friendships there. I do recommend MCS, as I think that they will fix the problems before they have a chance to get too bad.
