I like the social sphere of the school and the activities and sports it offers to students; I’ve made some great connections and friendships with students and faculty members. However, some of the academics could be improved with more teachers and better-trained teachers. I appreciate the fact that my school offers me the opportunity to take advanced courses and be involved in National clubs such as the National Honor Society and the National Junior Classics League. This school offers a variety of opportunities to many kids who would not otherwise have them; however, such opportunities can be delivered ineffectively through poor teaching and/or lack of communication. Furthermore, the guidance system is messy and could use some more structure: any student should be able to see any available couselor when they need to see one, regardless of who their assigned counselor is. Also, we could use better coaches for our sports teams.

Relatively a good school, definitely gets a bad rap for being in Manchester. But let me say this- I've transferred to every highschool in Manchester except Central and honestly? I've never seen more committed and inspired teachers who are really out here to help kids learn. Obviously, there's a few bad eggs in the bunch, but seriously. These teachers want to help you, thats something I can't really say for many of the other schools I went to. Kids at Memorial can seem a little rough and threatening on the surface, but honestly? Most of the kids there aren't as scary as they want to seem when you get to know them.
Manchester Memorial High school is a school filled with diversity. Everyone learns new things from each other. The staff is helpful and educational. I never had a problem with any of their administration people. I enjoyed going to school, and learn. I just wish they had a better organization. I also wish we got more assistance for applying to colleges. I never seemed to complain about the school in my four years. I thought it was a good school, with great teachers.
