It is a wonderful school! The learning environment that is fostered there encourages exploration and self-expression, largely due to the teachers. They care so much about the well being of the students and ensuring that they receive all of the tools they need to succeed. Some of the teachers that truly exemplify this behavior whose methods I have been fortunate enough to experience are Ms. Patricia Zalo, Dr. Larry Gaudioso, Mr. Thomas Jomisko, and Mrs. Kymberli Rivers. I have been taught so much during my time at Manatee, and feel that I will walk away with countless valuable skills.
Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks to the school, as there is with any school. The administration is often ineffective in sparking meaningful change, and their energy often goes into the wrong things. However, the school is a great place to spend your high school years, and as long as the students are persistent in problem-solving, it will be a worthwhile experience.

I have been at Manatee High School since I was in 9th grade and Im in my Senior Year right now. Manatee High School have staffs that help you with anything you need. Usually you hear in high school teachers dont really care about you its either u pass the class or you dont, but at Manatee its like the staffs do care. Every teacher I had there made sure I did my full potential in EVERYTHING I did. I appreciate them so much they wouldnt even know. Lets be serious we all have those teachers we dislike and wish we could get another one but at Manatee even if you dont like them you still see that there pushing you to your fullest and want to see you do great even if you do anything negative or not something there please with they still make sure your learning everything you need to and making sure your set for college. Its my senior year and im applying for so many scholarships right now and Manatee college prep has sent us a Senior Checklist to make sure were getting everything ready.
Overall, Manatee is great! Of course there's little things that aren't amazing, but, every school is like that. Manatee has a great sense of community and the sporting events are like no other. The community within the school and the community around the school is very supportive. All around, I have had an amazing time at Manatee.
