Mamaroneck High School is a great college-prepatory high school with a terrific assortment of AP class choices. I feel it has prepared my son very well for whatever college he ends up attending. Our guidance counselor is absolutely top-notch and has been an invaluable guide for our family in the often-overwhelming college process.

I really wouldn't change anything except for two things -- (1) it would be nice to see more Honors classes at the freshman and sophomore levels, especially in English, and (2) I strongly believe that the annual award ceremony held by the school in the spring (that is invitation-only) should be for Seniors only. The Junior year and lower categories seem to be more of a popularity contest, where awards go to the student who is most beloved by those who are deliberating rather than which student is the most deserving, has the highest academic achievement, or has the most accomplishments in their field of study both in and outside the school.

I honestly am so lucky to have attended this institution. This is one of the best high schools around and I would highly recommend the district to any family. Although it may not seem to be the most diverse, the elementary schools are currently more diverse than ever before and will add to the ethnic palette of the school, but we are still big on focusing on and empathizing with other cultures. So many faculty are there waiting for your needs. I had an amazing experience at this school and I will miss it dearly.
My high school experience has been very good. It's given me an opportunity to grow as both a student and a person. The school gives a very large opportunity to succeed academically with the wide variety of class choices you receive as well as the bountiful hours of extra help teachers offer. Outside of classes, the school offers many clubs and great athletic teams with coaches that really care for the team. While there are a few things here and there that are a bit irritable, my experience at Mamaroneck High School has been great.
