Bullying isn’t taken care of as it should be. At least, depending on who you are. A lot of things are brushed aside as normal middle school behavior that shouldn’t be. I hope parents are taking their kids to therapy because kids going to the counselor and trying to resolve problems get told to “just ignore it.” And one of these days we are going to end up with a suicide in Oconee because of lack of action of the part of administration, and kids feeling like there’s no point in even asking for help because they won’t get it.
Academics are great. Go MAP and Milestones scores. That’s what the school board cares about.

This middle school has very respecting students and also great teachers, my daughter has learned so much compared to previous years! There are also many clubs you can join, my daughter really enjoys FFA! This is also a very safe community! If you are looking for a good school, I recommend this one.
It has great teachers and most students are a nice, friendly environment. Great extracurriculars, the cheer team is a great experience, I've never had any problems with bullying and I haven't heard many problems with it. Great options for connections. Most are fun, great teachers such as Mr.Grassmyer, Mrs.Thurston, and Mrs. Pitts/Gooch have been my favorites. Fantastic school, great athletics.
