Maize Virtual Preparatory School Reviews

Maize Virtual Preparatory School is committed to helping students find their love for learning. As an online school, they incorporate many ideal aspects, such as small class sizes, classes that are specifically geared to a student’s individual interests, and quality teachers. MVPS compel students to develop a large amount of independence and personal responsibility. They offer many dual credit courses through WSU Tech and also accept dual credit students take from their local colleges. The teachers make themselves readily available and take time to invest in student and get to know them--something that isn't always guaranteed in an online setting. MVPS requires a lot of self-motivation, time management, and responsibility, which challenges many students, but overall is a good fit for students who desire to be challenged to learn. There are a few obvious disadvantages to an online setting, but MVPS offers a unique mix between public schools and homeschooling, preparing students well.

Maize Virtual Preparatory School has been an amazing school. I firmly believe that online schooling is the best course of action, especially when compared to traditional homeschooling or traditional public schooling, and MVPS was no exception. My teachers are always on-track and helpful, and my classmates are easygoing and friendly. There's just enough workload that you get an enriching and immersive education, but not so much that you're constantly overwhelmed and stressed out. Bullying is nonexistent. Everyone is treated with courtesy, respect, and dignity, and I would've rather had no other experience for my high school education.
Maize Virtual Prep. is definetally a great college prep. school. The studies were rigorous, yet because it is an online school there is more flexibility than public school. In order to flourish with this school, students need to be driven and able to plan and uphold their own scheduals. Like many other highschools today, students are able to take classes for college credit. Maize Virtual is currently in association with WSU-Tech in order to provide college level classes such as Psychology, College Algebra, Government, et cetera. The downside is that students are not able to participate in highschool sports or homeschool sports.
