Maine East High School Reviews
Rating 3.93 out of 5 403 reviews
Great School. Teachers are very involved, and the facilities are new and compliment learning well. The afterschool athletic programs are poor, but the academics make up for it! The administration and other staff (who are not teachers) are connected with the students and make the environment that much easier and relaxing.
As a incoming sophomore I can't say I have literally experienced it all but in a way I have experienced it all at Maine East. As a freshman I was honored to be a 3-sport athlete, model in our CTE fashion show, and took various courses that opened up new paths and were challenging. The school atmosphere is lively and diverse. I attended many games, pep rallies, theatre acts, and more. Teachers I worked with were all friendly and clearly showed that they care about their job. Overall my experience at Maine East was very positive. A great start of my high school years. From an unbiased point of view there isn't really something that stands out to me regarding what should change at Maine East. Maine East is working hard to give students a great learning space and has implemented rules and regulations to touch up small issues that may spiral into something bigger.
I absolutely loved attending and graduating from Maine East! I was the graduating class of 2020 so we did not have an in person graduation but we were offered some fun alternatives which were very inclusive. Maine East is one of the most diverse high schools I've been to. I was so thrilled and excited to see faces of all different races and cultures. This school helps students feel included and important. They offer plenty of sports and club opportunities for many different things, making it a very inclusive environment. They have college/job opportunity help, as well as, research and database help as well. I found the teachers to be very caring and treat students as adults who will be going off to college soon. Teachers were also caring about students personal lives and took that into account when students needed help or just someone to talk to.
