Maine East High school could be identified as one of the best schools in the Illinois. All the students here are very friendly and helpful. They're always ready to help each other out.
Teachers and all staff members are very helpful and work extremely hard towards every student's success. . There are many student resources to help such as academic learning center where we can seek help with every department tutor such as math, science and foreign language. There are many extra curricular activities for students to explore their interests .
One thing I like the most at my school is college readiness. From freshmen to Senior year our teachers and counselors emphasize us to think about our future goals. There is a Career college Resource Center where every student can stop by and ask any question related to their future goals and helps you to your way to college. It is safe and diverse where every student can find its way!

Maine East is one of the most diverse and one of the oldest schools in Illinois. The school has a rich and interesting history that goes way back. The staff and the students are extremely welcoming. There are no issues of bullying or crimes of any kind and provides a safe envioronment for all the students. There are multiple ways to get involved in extra-curricular activities including sports, various clubs and prestigious and huge organizations, and volunteering opportunities to give back to the community. Along with all the extra-curricular activities, the school also has a high graduation percentage and great programs and resources to help students with their studies.
Hi my name is George Dimas. I am going to be a senior at Maine East High School. I participated in a variety of clubs/extra curricular activities my first three years of high school. They include Tech Genius, Ping Pong Club, Maine East Recreational Club, Tennis, and Orchestra. When I was in Tennis I received a Central Suburban League Leadership Award. Performing at the Orchestra concerts were really fun. I got to meet new people, participate in fundraisers, and played outstanding pieces that were composed many years ago. I received Student of the Month three times. I have excellent grades and my GPA is currently 3.6. What I like about Maine East is teachers are always there for their students when they need help. Another thing that I like about Maine East is that teachers are very resourceful and have provided the best support so that we can excel, do well on exams, and standardized tests.
