For the most part, the teachers really care about students. They want kids to understand what's being taught in the classroom while also doing well outside of school.
There is a variety of clubs and activities at Madison for students to become involved in. Almost too many! It's really easy to start your own club if nothing's your cup of tea.
Unfortunately, JMHS is a classic white school. Perhaps, one of the whitest in Fairfax County. Although, it's very gay. In a good way. LGBTQ+ people are extremely welcome here.

Pretty good school, teachers were a hit or miss but mostly a hit. When I was there, the math and art teachers were awesome! But some had favoritism over the students who played sports because they were also coaches which wasn't fair to the students. The teachers should treat the students equally and give the students the same grade no matter if they are in a sport or not and if they especially work hard! However, what needs to be worked on is the administration and the new principal. said not to pick classes with friends and they weren't helpful when questioning about AP classes for college and my counselor switched all 4 years which wasn't even helpful to me at all! The school was so small they expanded the freshman class which was TOTALLY unfair!
Being at Madison was the best time of my life. Just an immigrant kid who found the purpose of his life by being in a knit-tight community. The teachers are great enlightened people, who at first seem very strict, but if a student realizes that their intensity is only in their best interest, they will be glad to study there. There are a variety of different clubs and organizations that help students with their interest. Also, Madison's sports teams are always among the top schools in the state. their good reputation is already established, but they take the safety of body and mind very seriously. One minor thing about Madison is their counselors. They will not provide ample time for each student, and their recommendation doesn't mean anything. Overall, an excellent school. Also, if you are not from a wealthy family your social life at Madison will not go very pleasantly.
