Madison Central High school is very big in diversity, you're always able to make friends and find somebody you have something in common with. Central has several sports and clubs you could be a part of and they are very helpful with your schedule so you can do more than one activity if you want! The teachers there are extremely encouraging and supportive. You can go up to any of them and they would love to talk to you about anything. You're able to have a very close relationship with the teachers at Madison Central. The only thing I would change is to have a longer lunch and for the school to put as focus on the arts as they do the sports and core classes like math and english.
I transferred to Madison Central my sophomore year after attending another high school a county over freshman year. The atmosphere of this school was completely different due to the people and area the school is placed in. What I like about Madison Central is that a lot of the teachers really seem to care about their students well-being, rather than just being a teacher. They form bonds with their students like friends, and some of my teachers even commonly asked about our mental health throughout the school year. Something that I would like to see change is for the students to be taught more about the social injustices that citizens of America are facing today, as well as in the past- such as LGBTQ inequality, civil rights, BLM movement, etc. Everybody is different, but everyone should have the same opportunity to be caught up to date with today's issues.
Madison Central High School is the best school I’ve been in in my life time. While there are many flaws, I have met the best people here and I’ve found out my primary academic interests from this school. The teachers are great, the classes offered are very diverse, and I found myself enjoying school this last year of high school. One thing I would change are the financial decisions. I want this school to pay more on books and furniture for classes that have barely anything in them. I have found most books are torn up to shreds, and I just feel bad for students who don’t get the most out of their academics.
