I came to Madeira Beach Fundamental in the 7th grade, which wasn’t easy. The majority of new kids arrived in the 6th grade, so I felt quite left out in the first couple of weeks, since most kids had already settled down in their friend groups. After eating lunch by myself each day for a few weeks, an outgoing and friendly girl reached out to me, and asked if I wanted to eat lunch with her, and her friends. Little did I know, that group of people would be my best friends throughout middle school. For the remaining 2 years, I had an enjoyable time. The teachers were amazing, and there was no bullying whatsoever. Because the classes were so large, the teachers never really had much time to get to know, and establish a bond with each student. In my brother’s high school, the classes are small, so the teachers can sit down with the students and talk to them about their essay, or even just how they are doing. Overall though, I loved Madeira, and am happy I got to attend there.
Outstanding school!!! The Principal Mr Ateek is truly an unbelievable inspiration to all those around him - students, parents and teachers!
It would be great if the clubs after school were spread out over the week instead of the majority on one particular day of the weak. This way the kiddos would be able to attend more than one club of their choice.

MBFS offers an exceptional learning opportunity to children from K to 8th grade. The principal, the staff and the teachers are committed to providing an excellent education to the children. You can tell they truly care and are dedicated to their mission. It is a beautiful waterfront campus where kids can look at from some of the classrooms and see dolphins. The boardwalk and coastal habitat is unique and educational. I would recommend this school to anyone.
