Lyndon B. Johnson Early College High School Reviews
Rating 3.32 out of 5 94 reviews
It's all about sports only and only if you play football or basketball. Admin is constantly on turn-around and academics are mostly hot-potato. You can count the wonderful professors on one hand that really have a desire to change future leaders but most of them are there for a check. Counselors have bad attitudes and are not there for the best interest of the young adults. Protocols are not followed and rules are applied and ignored for only some students. Not the best experience at all. Do your child a favor and research a different educational location, even Northeast ECP is so much better which is closest in the area.
LBJ Early College High school is full of school spirit. The football season is especially thrilling. Send offs, parades, and hall meetings keep the energy alive. Students, from freshmen to seniors, interact and connect with one another on a daily basis. Classrooms may be filled with both upper and underclassmen. Teachers are experts at instructing and assisting each individual student in the classroom. If ever a student should need a little extra help, teachers have plenty of opportunities for students to catch up on the material. LBJ ECHS is a place of community, diversity, and the pursuit of academic excellence.
The school is equipped with mostly fun and relatable teachers who do truly care about the students. This is not the entire school. There are staff members who do not encourage students and continue to push the poor reputation on to the students. We lack funding and attendance for extracurriculars outside of sports for students to grow and learn about other interest. Students at times are stuck in a box at LBJ.
