Lynden Christian provides a great education and strives for excellence. The only problem I have with Lynden Christian is it is full of people who are unaccepting, snotty, and rude. Lynden Christian has a profile of White, blonde haired, blue eyed, sporty kids who care more about winning the state championship than they do about basically anything else. Through the years I have been there I have seen some improvement and seen teachers who try to be more christian and focus on teaching and their faith, but they still have a long way to go.

Lynden Christian provides students with an excellent foundation in faith and knowledge. The small class sizes allow richer discussion of material with less disruption. Teachers and the principal know each student by name. Both the music program and the sports programs are high quality and receive a decent amount of funding.

While the students and parents are friendly enough, there is an unhealthy amount of energy expended toward keeping up appearances. The only "diversity" of the student population is provided by the international student program. The majority of those students are from countries in Asia. Some of my closest friends were international students; the program was a blessing for me. Despite the pressure to keep up appearances and the lack of diversity, Lynden Christian is a positive & encouraging environment for learning and I am thankful for my time there.
For high school, this place is actually above average. While there were a handful of dud teachers, I had a really good experience with most. In fact, had it not been for some of those awesome teachers, I wouldn’t have made it through senior year. The science department is the best, math is second, history and social studies might qualify for third, and the english department would come in last for me. The art department is actually really good, and the teacher is amazing, but it could do a lot better if there was more funding. But lastly, and most importantly, for being a private, Christian school, I was disappointed with the Bible classes... Not the teachers themselves, but the fact that you only receive one semester a year of a Bible studies class. That should be just as much of a priority as any other class. So in that sense, there was a lack.
